Objective of this meeting is to share results on Arctic observing activities, to engage in discussions on key topics, and to strengthen linkages among the many US Arctic research programs. DOE’s presence in Alaska, and the numerous analyses performed by DOE-funded scientists, are key contributions to US Arctic observing. Specific contributions include: Long term observations at DOEs facilities in Barrow and Oliktok; aircraft campaigns targeting clouds, aerosols, and carbon; new activities associated with the airspace near Oliktok; linkages with the NGEE program; and other activities.
